Our client is a leading Islamic Bank in UAE that is run by and adheres to Islamic principles and protocols for all its operations in all its branches. This bank has its headquarters in United Arab Emirates. All the operations and transactions of the bank are carried out by Islamic ways and rules in the bank.
There are several branches of the bank in UAE that serve thousands of clients per day. There are around 50+ branches all around the United Arab Emirates. Established in the 90’s, this prestigious bank has been offering its services to people and businesses relentlessly ever since then.
Our client which is an Islamic bank is known to have a traditional system of banking where everything was manual. The clients were increasing and so was the pressure and work. They needed a solution for successfully handling the incoming volume of work so that all the processes could run smoothly and with ease.
The bank and its processes relied completely on traditional ways of banking. It did not have an automated or centrally accessible system. The bank wanted a plan which would make the handling of the tasks less tedious and provision of easy access to all branches and services. There was a need for an automated system that could monitor and handle all the branches and the operations of the bank.
As the system was completely manual, there was no estimation of wait time or issue-resolving, and the customer would be in the queue for a long period further delaying the process. It was also difficult to keep a track of customers and their requests. Also, it was not easy for the employees to handle and resolve all requests in time. That is when the Bank decided to find a solution to strive better and adopt advanced mechanism that would no longer require sending e-mails to different departments, queuing, etc. There was a requirement of digitizing the Banking forms and improving customer satisfaction.
We decided to address the issue by automating the bank processes.
We customized the website as per the requirements of the Bank up to their expectations and satisfaction. As a result, we were able to provide a solution and implemented the workflow of the operations of the bank. We automated all processes of RFO (Retail finance operations) in BPM which were – Finance Account Maintenance, Settlement, Finance Accounts Merging, Release mortgage, and Staff finance services. These were the main 5 processes to be implemented.
All these processes are now centrally handled, tracked, and monitored. The Bank now has access to the entire picture and can easily check the status of requests and queries on the website. Our solution system has proved to be beneficial for organizing and managing customers’ financial information. This gives a better picture and helps in more ways than one. The new system also lets you compare the present and previous performance of the bank.
With the help of a few details like, RIM, Emirates ID, account number or phone number it is possible to fetch data of the customer. Application can be reviewed by the concerned team/branch. Once the application status is reviewed/approved, the attached documents are archived on a third-party tool – IBM File Net, and the financial data is stored in the banking system.
The latest technologies have been used in the process to build the system. IBM BAW 19.0.1 is the technology that has been used to integrate information, users, and processes to automate digital workflows and for collaboration between teams. This helps unite and build a system where sharing and processing of information become easy across the teams. IBM File Net 5 technology has been used to store and archive data and files. All-important files and attached documents are stored on IBM Net File 5. Oracle 18 has been used for the database to build the bank system.
With the help of the latest technologies, we were able to design and automate the entire system for our esteemed Islamic Banking client and transformed the banking process from manual to digital.
